Job Description:

The Technical Writer is responsible for maintaining and improving team productivity and efficiencies. All technical communications and deliverables need to be completed on time and within budget. The Technical Writer is also responsible for establishing and maintaining a positive working relationship with other Training Services and Technical Communications staff and coordinating activities with project DIT and OCS staff. The Technical Writer creates professional documentation for MiCSES and IV D partners.

Example types of information produced includes:

• Communications to personnel including notifications
• Customer Information Guides
• Quick Reference Guides
• Release Notes
• Screen Descriptions
• Workarounds
• Report Descriptions
• Procedural Documents
• Project plans

Other Duties:

• Posting materials on SharePoint platform
• Extensive writing and editing materials
• Support and relationship building with partners for information gathering distribution and communications development

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Technical Writing
• High school diploma or GED
