Transcription Remote Job

We are searching for a dedicated Remote Transcriptionist to join our team supporting our government contract.

The transcriptionist will be responsible for listening to audio files and accurately transcribing the content.

The goal of this role is to provide accurate transcriptions in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality.

Qualifications

· MUST be able to pass a Government Background check for Public Trust Clearance (SF-86)

· Type 85 WPM

· Proven experience as a transcriptionist or similar role

· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

· Strong grammar, punctuation and spelling skills

· Exceptional listening skills, detail-oriented with the ability to spot and correct errors or inconsistencies

· Ability to understand and transcribe spoken words, different accents, dialects, jargons, and abbreviations

· Good research skills for correct usage of industry terms and jargon

· Time management skills to handle multiple assignments, meet deadlines and work under pressure

· Strong self-motivation and discipline to work independently in a remote environment, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.

· Confidentiality awareness to handle sensitive and private information in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

· Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe content

· Proofread and edit transcriptions to ensure accuracy

· Ensure correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting

· Identify and correctly transcribe different speakers in audio files

· Research unfamiliar words, phrases, and abbreviations

· Time-stamp and note any issues or inconsistencies

· Follow formatting guidelines and standards

· Submit completed transcriptions in a timely manner and meet deadlines
