Empowerment Social Media Intern A social media intern helps manage and create content for an organization’s social media accounts. They may also assist with marketing initiatives and analytics.
Responsibilities Create and schedule social media posts Write captions for social media posts Track analytics for social media campaigns Manage social media accounts Create content related to a company’s brand, products, events, and services Collaborate with others to determine content Maintain social media profiles
What to expect A social media intern will be supervised by the Director of Communications They will learn daily tasks, as well as longer-term projects or initiatives Average of 20 hours per week sometimes including weekends for event coverage
Preferred Skills and Experience Experience with social media campaigns Self-motivation Desire to create a social media campaigns Effective Communication Knowledge of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn Familiarity with photography and videography Experience with designing graphics
Other duties may include performing clerical duties, help with event planning, job shadowing, and learning technical skills related to the industry.
