24 Seven Talent is hiring: Accessories Designer in New York

Client Overview: Our client is a leading manufacturer of apparel and accessories that collaborates with retailers and licensing partners alike.

Position Overview: As the Accessories Designer you will lead design from concept through production for Children's Fashion & Novelty Accessories. This role will include accessories such as bags and backpacks, cold weather accessories, hosiery, sunglasses, jewelry + hair accessories and beauty sets.

Designer Responsibilities:

• Ability to translate trends and create children’s accessory designs from start to finish
• Partnering with management, ability to take design direction to create digital cads for all accessories items
• Research and shopping locally to stay aware of new emerging trends and products
• Understanding of repeat layouts when creating print and pattern for accessories and packaging
• Ability to work on hangtags + packaging layouts for accessory sets.
• Supports the team in all aspects of design and product development process
• Creating specs and tech packs and correction comments for accessories.
• Partnering with team to create digital cads, to prepare for meetings and presentations
• Team player and willing to work with team members on different accessories’ categories when needed

Designer Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in Adobe programs: illustrator, Indesign and photoshop
• Strong ability to create CADS for presentations
• Passionate about accessories design and willing to learn new categories
• Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
• Accessories design experience a MUST- Childrens is a PLUS
