User Experience Researcher Job at PTR Global in Sunnyvale
PTR Global, Sunnyvale, CA, United States, 94087
Position Description
About This Team
Our Design Strategy team works on ambitious new opportunities that could ship in the next 2-3 years with internal teams across a leading global tech company and its portfolio of products spanning search, AI, media platforms, mapping, and consumer devices.
Product teams are working overtime to fix bugs, ship the next release or update, and handle tactical day-to-day tasks, but might not have the time or resources for thinking beyond 12 months and/or defining their product narrative. That's where we come in. We work closely with internal teams to unlock ambitious multi-year plans, growth strategies, and new products.
Our Design Strategy team has partnered with numerous internal product groups on realistic exploratory work to help teams take leaps beyond the current roadmap and/or define their product vision. We help guide and inform where our products can go.
Role Summary and Responsibilities
The UX Researcher plays a crucial role on our team by providing fast, actionable insights using a range of multi-faceted data, from qualitative interviews to quantitative data, while connecting these insights with business trends. These insights can influence cross-functional teams for both short-term and long-term implementation in large, ambiguous problem areas. The role also fosters collaboration between different teams and products. Additionally, it requires strong storytelling and survey writing skills to effectively inspire product teams and introduce new problem spaces.
Product Insights – The role involves uncovering valuable insights by identifying new user patterns or market trends through mixed methods and compelling storytelling. These insights help the team deliver practical yet ambitious new directions, ideas, and experiences that the product team can implement in both the near term and long term.
Bridge Building – As part of the Design Strategy team, you will play a key role in fostering collaboration by bridging teams and products that have never worked together before, offering a friendly and informed approach to drive positive change.
Persuasion – Persuasion is a key part of the job. The ability to craft stories that resonate, put together new frameworks for approaching problems, ask provocative questions, and inspire product teams.
