The Intern within Design-Build (DB) is a positive, critical thinking problem solver, that will assist with and learn about responsibilities as they relate to the Assistant Project Engineer position. They will gain hands-on experience and insight into the responsibilities of the Assistant Project Engineer within DB. The Design Build Intern will assist in the coordination and communication flow of information to aid Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers in the execution of construction projects.

- Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects and proprietary information.
- Learn to build a high level of communication flow with all internal and external project partners.
- Participate in maintaining project documentation (Plans, Specifications, RFIs, Submittals, Meeting Minutes) coming from design and trade partners, ensuring all are on the same page.
- Support implementation of the site safety plan, including attending weekly safety meetings, engage in pre-task planning, and accident investigation.
- Assist with field operations including but not limited to scheduling testing and inspections, maintaining look ahead schedules, daily reports, and quality management.
- Contribute to cost management by identifying monetary changes through estimating and the execution of change orders.
- Other duties as assigned.

Interest in Engineering and Construction Management is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering related field (in progress is acceptable) is preferred.
