Community Manager

Salary: $90,000-125,000

Location: Chicago, IL

Hours: 8a-5p

The Community Manager’s main duty is to create and manage programming at a multi-use training, meeting, and office property to enhance the experience for tenants and visitors and to create a sense of community on the property and virtually.

JOB DUTIES

  1. Serve as an integrator for organizations within the facility including:
  2. Standing up policies
  3. Supporting the property management team
  4. Addressing gaps
  5. Creating the right interactions between the Director of Community Engagement, the receptionist, and property management team
  6. Delineating roles and responsibilities
  7. Supporting/developing responsibility expectations of the key onsite roles
  8. Recommend and support training sessions around the expectations
  9. Serve as the main liaison between the public and the property management team
  10. Serve as the point of contact for all issue escalations
  11. Ensure policies and procedures are in place and adhered to while customer service is emphasized
  12. Oversee the integration of the various personas to ensure a smooth business operation (e.g., allowing use of public spaces while special events are going on, ensuring a smooth check-in process, overseeing the safety and security of all areas)
  13. Coordinate regular programming
  14. Manage property amenity spaces
  15. Plan and maintain the property programming budget
  16. Evaluate and monitor property management services to ensure building equipment and assets are appropriately maintained
  17. Develop playbooks and manuals to support maintenance of building assets
  18. Recommend and implement technology to support facility operations, including but not limited to work order systems, asset management systems, reservation, and room booking systems.
  19. Manage and support the front desk administrative staff, and work with security to support overall facility operations
  20. Assist the property management and leasing teams in tours, welcome collateral, and events for new tenants
  21. Act as a building ambassador, including maintaining a welcoming presence in public spaces during high traffic times and during events
  22. Respond to in-person, phone, and email requests from tenants providing guidance and information to tenants in a timely manner
  23. Negotiate contracts with area vendors for best prices and services
  24. Provide detailed reporting of events, conference center bookings, social media engagement, and building app usage to the client
  25. Provide timely and accurate reporting to the finance department to ensure accurate billing of services to clients
  26. Other concierge-related requests, as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  2. At least three years’ experience in marketing and event planning, including VIP guest service
  3. Previous concierge or VIP retail experience highly preferred

Estimated total compensation for this position: 90,000.00 – 125,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
