U.S. Army is hiring: Library Technician NF-02 in Honolulu

This position is located at Fort Shafter Library, Fort Shafter, Hawaii.

Duties

• Provides direct services to the public: registers patrons, charges/discharges materials, processes overdue/reserves, interlibrary loans/reserves, shelves library materials, prepares displays, programs activities, answers reference questions.
• Provides technical services support in a variety of functions: basic/copy cataloging, ordering/receiving/processing and de-acquisitioning of library materials.
• Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories.
• Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated systems.
• Prepares displays, programs activities, answers basic reference questions, and assists customers in locating materials.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Must meet ONE of the following qualifications listed below:

1. One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade.
2. Two years of education above high school OR..
3. A combination of specialized experience and education that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements.
