ABOUT THE ROLE
Mansueto Ventures, parent of Inc. and Fast Company, is looking for a dynamic and innovative chief revenue officer to oversee all advertising and sponsorship activities, including sales, integrated marketing, custom content, and client success, across both editorial business titles.
This full-time role is based in New York, with onsite presence expected at least 3 days per week (Tuesday – Thursday).
Salary range: $275,000 - $325,000 + bonus and commission eligible. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, industry, and education.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Revenue Growth Strategy:
- Create and implement a strategic roadmap for scaling advertising and sponsorship revenue
- Explore and launch new revenue opportunities while maintaining a focus on profitability
- Use data insights to refine strategies and guide decision-making
- Sales Leadership & Enablement:
- Manage and mentor a high-performing sales team, setting clear targets and accountability measures
- Implement best practices for sales process optimization and pipeline management using Salesforce.com
- Develop effective compensation and incentive plans to drive performance
- Digital Advertising:
- Optimize the monetization of digital ad inventory, developing product and pricing strategies
- Stay abreast of digital advertising trends, including programmatic, native, and video advertising innovations
- Drive profitable partnerships that leverage digital ad capabilities and client ROI
- Event Sponsorships:
- Work with event teams to create compelling sponsorship packages and maximize sponsor and attendee engagement
- Identify opportunities to expand event offerings to attract high-value sponsors
- Custom Publishing:
- Oversee the creation and delivery of tailored content solutions for clients
- Collaborate with editorial teams to ensure all content aligns with quality standards
- CRM and Analytics:
- Leverage Salesforce.com to manage pipelines, forecast revenue, and measure team performance
- Utilize CRM and external data to uncover trends, identify growth opportunities, and optimize client relationships
- Drive adoption of Salesforce.com across the sales organization to ensure data accuracy and effectiveness
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven success in a senior revenue leadership role, preferably in B2B media and/or strong understanding of finance, tech, and luxury advertising
- Experience structuring sales organizations and implementing processes that align with the company’s strategic vision and the demands of the marketplace
- Deep expertise in digital advertising, event sponsorship sales, and custom publishing
- Fluency with Salesforce.com, including pipeline management, reporting, and CRM optimization
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and manage teams effectively
- Data-driven and analytical mindset with a focus on results
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal marketing, editorial, operations, and product teams to secure support for new or resource-intensive partnership and programs and ensure seamless delivery of client solutions
- Track record of establishing, building, and maintaining strong client relationships that drive retention and upsell opportunities
- Ability to represent the company at key industry events and conferences to strengthen brand presence
