About The Client
An established property management group in the Seattle area requires the services of a senior marketer to help evolve their business model into an all-in-one wholesale marketplace for landlords. The client’s vision is ambitious and the value proposition is still evolving, with a handful of live products in their marketplace.
The hiring team seeks a dynamic self-starter with relevant experience in real estate and / or proptech marketing (particularly property management, short-term rentals, or related areas), who also thrives in the ambiguity and excitement of an early-stage startup (NO AGENCIES, PLEASE).
Remote / Hybrid
This is a remote role with preferential consideration given to applicants in or within driving distance of the Greater Seattle Area.

What You’ll Do
Refine & Co-Create Value Proposition
- Partner with the founder to validate and sharpen our product-market positioning for small landlords.
- Conduct user interviews, competitive analysis, and market research in real estate/property management to ensure product-market fit.
- Design our marketing roadmap focusing on Seattle and Los Angeles, with an eye for scaling nationwide.
- Recommend and implement marketing infrastructure (CRM, analytics, automation) essential for lead generation and tracking.
Execute Hands-On Campaigns
- Launch cost-effective demand generation campaigns (digital ads, content marketing, partnerships) tailored to property management and real estate audiences.
- Manage a lean budget tied to monthly revenue, leveraging organic growth channels and co-marketing with industry partners.
Drive User Acquisition & Growth
- Build and optimize funnels to convert landlords into active marketplace users.
- Track metrics (CAC, conversion, LTV) and iterate quickly based on real-time data.
- Participate in the sales process by engaging prospects, in collaboration with other team members.
Foster Partnerships & Community
- Identify and develop partnerships with property management software providers, distribution platforms, and real estate groups to expand reach.
- Cultivate an early adopter community among small landlords, leveraging real estate or STR forums to gather timely feedback.
Shape the Culture & Team
- As we grow, hire and mentor additional marketing talent or manage external agencies.
Who You Are
- An Experienced Start-Up Marketer: 7+ years in marketing roles, at least part of which is in or adjacent to property management, short-term rentals, real estate tech, or related fields.
- Deep understanding of landlord pain points, acquisition channels, and real estate market dynamics.
- Strategic & Hands-On: You’re equally comfortable formulating high-level strategies and executing day-to-day tasks (campaigns, data analysis, etc.).
- Data-Informed Experimenter: You apply an experiment-driven mindset, continuously testing, measuring results, and iterating quickly.
- Customer-Focused: You thrive on listening to user feedback and translating those insights into actionable marketing and product decisions.
- Collaborative Leader: You communicate effectively with founders, product teams, and external partners, building trust and alignment across stakeholders.
- Visionary with Follow-Through: You can articulate a long-term growth plan while also ensuring swift execution of near-term marketing goals
