Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM)
team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express products and services through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. We have an ambitious goal: to be the most admired brand in the Fortune 500 and we aim to deliver on that by doing work that is both creative and effective. The Global Brand Content & Platforms team sits within GABM. We are responsible for building inspiring brand creative and assets to drive consideration for target audiences. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic content strategy and planning lead to join our brand content team. This role will be responsible for leveraging audience insights and performance data to inform our content strategy and communications planning to ensure cohesion across all content touchpoints. You will collaborate closely with members of the Brand content and cross-functional teams, including brand strategy, media and measurement, social, and enterprise-wide partners to drive content initiatives that amplify our brand’s voice and foster deeper connections with our audiences.
Specific responsibilities include:
Content Strategy & Planning: Oversee the development of content calendars and communications plans, ensuring consistent and timely delivery of messaging across platforms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, creative, and other internal teams, as well as agency partners to ensure content aligns with Enterprise marketing priorities and strategies.
Performance Tracking & Reporting: Operationalize regular analysis of content performance, working in close partnership with insights & media partners to identify areas of optimization and prioritize the best opportunities to refine approach.
Project Management: Lead and manage end-to-end content strategies, with focus on full-funnel integration to drive consistency and cohesion across customer touchpoints.
Digital Journey Optimization: Manage and influence design and implementation of digital customer journeys in close partnership with brand strategy and digital product teams.
Budget Management: Develop, manage, and monitor annual budget for Global Brand content team, encompassing proper allocation of funds across initiatives, tracking utilization, and overseeing relationships with external vendors to ensure adherence to American Express policies.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of marketing experience and a proven track record of developing strategic and tactical 360 communications, creative development, and media knowledge for a top brand. Idea candidate is a creative thinker, recognized as being solutions-oriented and a collaborative team player. Specific qualifications:
Highly organized and superior communicator and collaborator with the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams and influence partners. effectively consult with, influence and partner with range of stakeholders to ensure buy-in and adoption of ideas.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives to meet deadlines.
Experience in content development and production with proven track record of effectively managing teams to deliver projects end-to-end.
Strategic thinker, able to align marketing with overall business objectives and develop plans with measurable impact.
Motivated self-driver, with ability to navigate white space and translate ambiguity into action; you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, sound business judgement, and a discipline for priority setting and follow-through.
Qualifications
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
