Job Summary
The Marketing Manager supports internal and external communication efforts, assists with franchisee marketing needs, helps maintain brand consistency, and coordinates corporate events and industry trade shows. The ideal candidate is customer-service focused, a problem solver, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple marketing initiatives in a fast-paced environment. This position requires working onsite at least four days per week at either our Springville, UT or Fort Worth, TX office.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and distributing internal communications to 1-800-Packouts franchisees, including monthly newsletters and email updates.
- Maintain an accurate communications calendar to ensure corporate and franchisee alignment on marketing initiatives and important dates.
- Create email templates and customer-facing assets for franchisees to support their local outreach.
- Promote corporate campaigns, initiatives, and event announcements with effective communication strategies that drive engagement, open rates, and participation.
- Provide franchisees with support for local marketing efforts, including trade show materials, community involvement guidance, and marketing collateral tailored to restoration services.
- Develop educational content (written guides, videos, webinars) to help franchisees make informed marketing decisions.
- Coordinate creative requests with internal and external designers to ensure brand consistency and local customization.
- Support new franchisee onboarding, including startup marketing kits.
- Assist in setting up and training on marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, print portals, brand asset libraries).
- Create LinkedIn business profiles for new franchise locations.
- Educate franchisees on brand compliance and traditional marketing best practices.
- Maintain regular contact with new franchisees during their first 18 months to support adoption and alignment.
- Develop and maintain onboarding tools such as the local marketing playbook and “Franchisee Start-Up Marketing Guide.”
- Monitor brand sentiment and support online reputation management.
- Guide franchisees on brand compliance and address inconsistencies as needed.
- Respond to online reviews and social media comments in alignment with brand standards.
- Manage the brand shop site: oversee inventory, analyze usage trends, and phase out outdated materials.
- Write and edit copy for digital and print campaigns, including email marketing, flyers, postcards, and trade show handouts.
- Partner with our digital vendors on edits to outbound campaigns and lead generation assets.
- Help coordinate photo shoots at franchise locations and national events as needed.
- Maintain a well-organized, accessible system of marketing files for corporate and franchise use.
- Support the event planning team with logistics, attendee registration, communications, and promotional items.
- Research, recommend, and secure relevant industry trade shows or expos for corporate participation.
- Coordinate booth design, shipping, and branded giveaways.
- Ensure all trade show leads are accurately entered into the CRM and followed up on in collaboration with the Marketing Director.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to corporate events or franchisee locations across the U.S.
Key Performance Metrics
- Engagement & Communication: Meet or exceed email open and click-through benchmarks for franchisee communications.
- Franchisee Satisfaction: Achieve positive ratings for marketing support and responsiveness.
- Brand Compliance: Maintain high compliance rates for marketing assets and respond to all public reviews within 24 business hours.
- Trade Show Performance: Generate qualified leads and ensure timely follow-up and reporting within one week post-show.
- Asset Development: Deliver a consistent pipeline of email templates, local campaign pieces, and franchisee-ready materials each quarter.
- Onboarding: Complete all marketing onboarding steps (platforms, brand assets, digital presence) for every new franchisee within their first 30 days.
- Task Management: Achieve 95%+ on-time completion for creative requests, content projects, and event logistics.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered
- 4–7 years of marketing experience, preferably in a B2B, franchise, or multi-location environment
- Strong copywriting and editing skills across email, print, and social media
- Comfortable using marketing tools such as HubSpot, Canva, Google Workspace.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with strong attention to detail
- Experience collaborating with vendors, freelance designers, or internal teams
- Knowledge of brand standards, campaign planning, and light marketing analytics
- Prior experience supporting franchisees or local operators is a plus
