Position Overview:

As Designer you will have a background in denim product design, fabric and wash development/comments along with technical design skills, excellent trend research abilities, knowledge of denim production for mass market and exceptional CAD sketching. This role will work alongside the Associate Design Director to develop and execute denim product following trend and merchandising concepts. Will also collaborate daily with product development, technical design, and production teams to ensure product success from concept to production. Roles And Responsibilities

Seasonal trend research and presentation.

Sketching/ coloring illustrator CADs for sample development, line sheets and tech packs.

Creating and managing seasonal line sheets.

Working with product development for trim and fabric development/ sourcing.

Create and update tech packs in PLM for development through production, containing detailed product specification and construction pages.

Maintenance of PLM: BOM's, construction, wash pages.

Participate in all fittings, take notes, work with technical designers to assist with fit comments/ proto requests for SMS.

Prepare samples and standards to review wash/ fabric/ trim.

Building detailed wash pages and wash comments for tech packs and sample comments.

Maintenance of design records for team's reference.

Manage and organize samples on a consistent basis.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Proficient in CADS and flat sketching

Proficient in PLM system(s)

Proficient in Microsoft Applications

Strong organizational skills

Strong denim wash and fabric knowledge

Ability to interpret design intent and offer alternative solutions

Ability to prioritize workflow based on deadlines

Ability to problem solve and communicate all issues to cross functional departments
