Job Title: Sourcebook Designer
Location: Corte Madera, CA (on-site)
Duration: 3 months, ongoing- 40 hours/weekly
Pay Rate: $80-$90/hr
We are seeking a talented Designer who is ready to work in all aspects of print design. Candidate must have at least 3-5 years of experience within advertising, branding, direct marketing, retail or editorial - with a highly developed eye for detail and a passion for design. Would interface with merchants, product development, web team, art directors, copywriters, project managers, and production staff.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure consistent brand design across platforms and media by managing and adapting the existing brand identity. Update the visual aesthetic from brand guides as the brand evolves and apply it to ongoing projects.
• Develop concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance the brand strategy. The candidate will present innovative ideas to improve aspects of the brand's identity by creating new layouts for print.
• Designing page layouts for the seasonal sourcebooks, magazine advertisements, PR collateral, and other print projects.
• Provide quality control over concepts and projects. The candidate will be tasked with managing and looking over design assets created by other internal teams, making sure they adhere to brand standards and all collateral is up-to-date.
Qualification:
• 3-5 years of experience within advertising, branding, direct marketing, retail or editorial
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, print production/prepress basic knowledge, Mac OSX, and Microsoft Office
• Mastery of typography, grid systems, visual hierarchy, color, and composition
• Ability to express a creative point of view, with an already existing highly developed sense of style and design
• Degree in Design- preferred
