Job Title: Lead UX Writer
Duration: 03+ Months with Possible extension
Location: Palo Alto, CA (Hybrid)
Job Description: All resumes should include a link to a portfolio, password protected, at the top of the resume. Resumes without this will be rejected. The portfolio should highlight the candidate's digital product writing experience, preferably with end-to-end flows. This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week onsite in Palo Alto or Irvine, CA.
Schedule: 9-6, Monday-Friday
Role: Sr. UX Writer - In-vehicle experience
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams, contributing to various stages from strategy to production.
- Balance brand voice expression with UX principles, guiding users effectively through the experience.
- Shape user experiences and design interactions that are unique to the brand.
- Become an expert in our products, translating complex information into clear, approachable language.
- Work within and expand our copy system to ensure consistency across the ecosystem.
- Contribute to other projects such as naming or feature positioning as needed.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in writing for brands and digital products.
- A portfolio showcasing digital product experience with end-to-end flows and engaging copy.
- Proficiency with Figma, Google Suite, Jira, and Confluence.
- Ability to present work effectively, explain thinking, and collaborate to realize vision.
- Familiarity with research methods to define verbal strategies.
- Experience with testing and iterating on content.
- Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities.
The role:
As a Sr. UX Writer, you will work within our Digital Studio team across in-vehicle, mobile app, and web platforms to shape the digital experience through content and copy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partner with design, product, and engineering teams from strategy to production.
- Balance brand voice with UX principles, focusing on effective communication across digital experiences.
- Help shape user experiences and design interactions that are unique to the brand.
- Become an expert in our products, translating complex information into clear language.
- Maintain and expand our copy system for consistency across platforms.
- Contribute to other writing projects like naming or marketing content.
