COMPENSATION: $25.00 per hour
W-2, Non-exempt
SCHEDULE:
Part-time (20-24 Hours per Week) Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
9:00am-5:00pm Phoenix Standard Time
LOCATION: Hybrid in Phoenix*, AZ
Mondays work from your home kitchen
Tuesdays and Wednesdays work onsite in studio kitchen
*Candidates must live within 30 minutes of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, and have a home kitchen to test recipes and prepare baked goods

We LOVE what we do and are looking for someone equally excited and eager about helping our audience improve their baking skills with every recipe posted as we grow and scale.
Our Founder and CEO, Tessa, needs a kitchen assistant to be a second pair of hands to test recipes and prepare for production days.

As our Kitchen Assistant, you will play a critical role in developing new recipes, articles, and videos, all created to spread joy, inspiration, and baking education to our community of hundreds of thousands of home bakers.
Key Responsibilities with Success Metrics
#1 Test recipes by preparing the sweet treat according to the original recipe, document your steps, and prepare a revised recipe with provided adjustments for Tessa's review.
Success Metric: Test four recipes each week
Success Metric: Prepare a succinct weekly report that documents the recipes you tested, the testing process, and recommended recipe revisions. Deliver the report to Tessa by 5:00 PM Phoenix Time on Thursday each week.
#2 Bake and prepare provided recipes to various steps of completion in your home kitchen for Tessa to complete and film on production days, including 1-2 backup batches in case of errors that require a restart.
Success Metric: All baked goods are prepared in advance and brought to the production kitchen ready to film.
#3 Maintain a clean, organized kitchen with a fully stocked pantry for photo and video production days, recipe testing, and everyday use.
Success Metric: 100% of ingredients are available as needed
Success Metric: Make an average of 2 grocery trips per week to re-stock ingredients
Kitchen Assistant Ideal Candidate Characteristics
- Baking excites you - even the ingredient preparation, grocery shopping, and dish washing
- You love to cross off to-dos and live inside your planner or calendar app
- Friends and family call you a "people-pleaser," but you simply enjoy making people's lives easier
- You are detail-oriented, but also able to communicate succinctly
- You have experience in the hospitality or food service industry - and LOVE providing great customer experiences
- Google Suite is easy to navigate for you (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, etc.) and you are tech savvy in general

COMPENSATION: $25.00 per hour
