Position Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting in the installation and configuration of audio-visual systems based on engineered drawings and scope of work to include but not limited to:
- Executing correct installation procedures for low voltage and audio-visual systems;
- Installing, terminating and testing low voltage copper cables carrying various signal types. Troubleshoot various audio-visual and IT systems;
- Building and mounting structures for hanging audio-visual equipment according to safety standards;
- Interpreting audio-visual signal flow and architectural layout drawings;
- Reading and understanding blueprint measurements and specification sheets;
- Performing basic mathematical calculations;
- Occasionally travel to out-of-town project sites for audio-visual installations;
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Two (2) years’ experience in commercial audio-visual installation;
- High school diploma or GED required. Vocational/Technical/College preparatory courses and basic mathematics courses desirable;
- Proficient in MS Office; Experience with IT networking systems a plus;
- A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required;
- Reliable transportation to travel in and around the D.C. Metro area;
- Adherence to regular attendance and normal scheduled hours. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule determined by client site requirements, i.e., early morning and/or evening hours, as well as working overtime, often on short notice;
- Professional, team-oriented work ethic;
- Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills and customer service skills;
- Due to client requirements, US citizenship is required.
