Team Red Dog is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support our client's Artificial Generative Intelligence Safety & Security (AeGIS) Empowering Microsoft (EMS) team. This role will focus on developing technical documentation, internal reference materials, and external-facing content to support AI safety and security best practices. • Technical Writing (8+ years): Experience writing technical documentation, engineering specifications, and AI-focused content.
• AI & Engineering Knowledge (8+ years): Strong technical background in AI, machine learning, or engineering products.
• Technical Editing (8+ years): Proven ability to review and refine highly technical content.

The Technical Writer will play a critical role in translating AI safety and security best practices into clear, structured documentation for both internal and external audiences. This role will be embedded within the AeGIS EMS team and will work closely with engineers, subject matter experts, and leadership to produce high-quality content.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Develop internally facing reference materials, how-to guides, documentation, and training presentations.
• Create externally facing whitepapers, blogs, and technical articles for customers and the public.
• Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to transform research and notes into structured written content.
• Maintain and update Azure DevOps (ADO) work items to track progress on documentation deliverables.
• Follow a structured content creation process: Discovery → Initial Draft → Review/Revisions → Leadership Approval → Final Revisions.

The Expertise You Bring:

• 8+ years of experience in technical writing, focused on AI, engineering, or software development.
• Strong background in computer science, AI engineering, or technical product documentation.
• Experience writing content specifically for engineering teams (not marketing content).
• Prior Microsoft experience is highly preferred, particularly writing technical content for engineering teams.
• Strong ability to organize and present complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
