Manager, Performance Marketing Media Buyer

We are seeking a seasoned Performance Marketing Manager to drive growth and engagement across our digital marketing platforms.
The Atlanta United Integrated Marketing & Fan Engagement team develops and executes strategic brand initiatives, including brand narrative, creative development, ticket sales, sponsorship marketing, grassroots efforts, retail, influencer marketing, and more. This team leverages the marketing mix across brand strategy, advertising, digital engagement, and media outreach to create emotional connections with fans.
Reporting to the Director of Integrated Marketing Operations, the Performance Marketing Manager will manage teams and lead cross-functional, multi-platform initiatives from concept to execution. The role involves strategizing, executing, managing, and optimizing all performance marketing efforts to increase ticket sales, fan acquisition, merchandise revenue, and brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Paid Media Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute paid media strategies across search, social, programmatic, video, affiliate, and display platforms to drive customer acquisition and engagement. Manage the entire campaign lifecycle, oversee budget allocation, and optimize for ROI.
- Media Buying & Campaign Management: Manage campaigns on Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and programmatic platforms. Test new platforms and formats, and collaborate with creative teams to ensure engaging, conversion-optimized ads.
- Analytics & Performance Optimization: Monitor performance metrics, build dashboards, analyze data, and provide insights for continuous improvement. Utilize tools like Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Tableau, and CRM data.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership: Work with various teams to deliver integrated campaigns. Manage and mentor junior team members and oversee agency relationships.
- Innovation & Industry Knowledge: Keep abreast of digital marketing trends, evaluate emerging platforms, and promote innovative strategies, including automation and predictive analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
- 7+ years in media buying, digital advertising, or performance marketing, preferably in sports or entertainment.
- Expertise in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, and programmatic platforms.
- Experience managing large media budgets with proven KPI delivery.
- Strong understanding of digital metrics, attribution, and optimization techniques.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
