Job Description: Multimedia and Creative Designer
Position Summary:
The Multimedia and Creative Designer, part of the Office of Strategic Marketing and Communication, will design and develop print and digital materials for various school departments. This role is key in shaping the visual identity aligned with the school’s strategic goals.
- Design and Production: Create, edit, and deploy high-quality branded content across platforms such as websites, social media, email marketing, print materials, video displays, presentations, and creative assets for campaigns and merchandise.
- Brand Adherence: Follow established graphic design principles and the school’s brand guidelines strictly.
- Departmental Support: Assist different departments with graphic design for events, programs, and communication materials.
- Collaboration and Execution: Work collaboratively, ensuring effective communication from concept to completion, meeting deadlines and following procedures.
- Asset Management: Maintain an organized library of brand files, images, and documents.
- Photography and Photo Editing: Support photography needs, including editing, archiving, and art direction for photoshoots, to meet marketing and communication goals.
- Event Support: Provide staffing for community events, including some evenings, as required.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, digital media, or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Canva.
- Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability.
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude.
- Effective feedback reception and incorporation.
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, efficient, tech-savvy, collaborative, with a positive work ethic.
- Preferred: Experience with photography, photo editing, motion graphics, and video editing (Adobe Premiere).
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged desk work on a computer.
- Lifting up to 15 pounds.
- Navigation of stairs daily.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
