Job Description
The successful candidate will join a close-knit, high functioning team that supports a specific conference center. This core team will have access to support, education, and leadership from the wider NCC team at NIH as well as our corporate offices. NCC will, over the next five years, raise the bar on how the National Institutes conducts events, broadcasts important information, and shares research with a global community. - Provide NIH presenters and meeting participants with world class customer service.
- Perform moderately complex technical functions in support of audio visual and video teleconferencing infrastructure such as set up, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of components and systems.
- Daily system testing to ensure equipment and room functionality.
- Diagnoses malfunctions and reports outages to NCC’s engineering core.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant audio-visual technologies as assigned.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Utilize ticket system for daily ticket requirements, maintenance activities and the creation of Change Requests and Knowledge management artifacts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
- Video Teleconferencing (VTC) experience which includes scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity operating Zoom, MS Teams, and other cloud-based telecommunications services in a corporate or federal setting.
- Management and maintenance of Audio-Visual equipment.
- Monitor and maintain Audio Visual enterprise and assure maximum system uptime, component patching, alarm resolution and disaster recovery-continued operation planning.
- Ability to meet commitments, track actions, and follow through on multiple (often unanticipated) daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
- An interest in process development, implementation, and refinement.
- A willingness to learn, adapt, and build new tools.
- Ability to take personal and professional responsibility for business process outcomes.
- Maturity to accept and provide critical feedback in a never-ending pursuit of excellence.
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field preferred
- In lieu of a degree, at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- CTS, CTS-I, Q-SYS, Crestron, or AMX certifications
- Experience integrating AV systems
- Knowledge of live audio or videocast systems
- Knowledge and hands on experience with Professional Video Production Software and hardware
