Amazon is seeking a smart, creative, and driven PR specialist to join the Shopping PR team. In this role, you will help shape the shopping experience narrative with a focus on driving AI-led stories, supporting AI-powered shopping features and product launches, and interfacing closely with PR teams across Amazon whose work intersects with ours. You will have experience planning and executing PR campaigns, be a strong writer, demonstrate curiosity, bias for action, and have strong media relations skills.
This role is open to candidates based out of Seattle, WA; Washington, D.C. or New York, NY.
Key job responsibilities
- Leads the strategy and execution for select AI-specific shopping news and evergreen technology-focused stories
- Plans and executes communications programs geared towards various media
- Supports AI storytelling including feature and launch announcements, and seeks momentum storytelling opportunities
- Vets events and speaking opportunities related to AI in retail
- Acts as a liaison to the cross-Amazon AI team
- Monitors the AI shopping space and dives deep into advancing technologies, and relays that information across business and PR teams
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Knowledge of consumer technology landscape
- High levels of creativity

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $147,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
