Role Summary:
The AVP Marketing & Event Specialist is responsible for creating event strategies and coordinating with vendors, sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless event from start to finish. This includes conferences, partner receptions, ribbon cuttings, internal convenings, and other industry relevant events that effectively communicate CPC's brand message, market our business products, engages key audiences and supports business objectives.
What You'll Do: Develop strategy: Create a comprehensive marketing, event and corporate sponsorship plan across all CPC business lines.
One CPC event approach.
Manage all aspects of events: Oversee the planning and execution of events, including virtual and in-person events
Ensure all events are well executed and in alignment with CPC's mission and business goals. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venues. Manage internal logistics and work across individuals and teams needed to execute an event (e.g. work with Policy to ensure elected official outreach, with Public Affairs on press, with Facilities on shipping and COIs, etc.). Handle day-to-day administration of events which may include order placements, vendor monitoring and coordination, travel planning, restaurant reservations, attendee participation, registration counts, RSVP tracking, and issues resolution.
Manage budgets: Allocate funds for marketing and events. Ensure events stay within budget. Identify corporate sponsorships as needed. Manage and cultivate CPC and related subsidiaries contact lists Negotiate contracts: Work with vendors to secure services for events and marketing Optimize processes: Improve workflows and infrastructure for events.
Manage attendance Coordinate brand identity at the event Get feedback to evaluate impact of time and resources spent
Collaborate with teams: Work with other teams to optimize cross-organizational events. Perform other administrative duties, as required. Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree with at least 7 years' experience in event planning, marketing, or a related field. Must be detail-oriented, creative, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive projects. Strong interpersonal skills required. Experience managing contact databases (such as Constant Contact, HubSpot) and targeted email campaigns preferred. Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook, PowerPoint, and general database systems is required. Experience with Adobe Photoshop Suite a plus. Must be willing to travel What We Offer:

This is a full-time, hybrid role where you will work from the Manhattan office two - three days a week. The salary range is $115,000 - $130,000, dependent on experience.
