Job Overview:
The Creative Production Lead is responsible for the seamless execution of all production-related activities, from pre-production through to the final shot. This role blends creative vision with logistical execution, ensuring that all aspects of the photoshoot are planned, coordinated, and carried out efficiently. The Creative Production Lead works closely with the Creative Art Producer to develop the shoot concept, manage the crew, budget, and set logistics, and ensure that everything needed to execute the vision is in place, including equipment, talent, and vendors.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Concept Development & Planning: Collaborate with the Creative Producer to brainstorm and develop photoshoot concepts, ensuring they align with the overall vision. Create detailed production plans, shot lists, timelines, and equipment requirements.
- Talent & Model Coordination: Select models, manage casting calls, and finalize bookings. Communicate all shoot details to talent, including schedules and expectations.
- Vendor & Equipment Management: Source and manage vendors, including lighting, set design, and makeup artists. Ensure all necessary equipment, props, and supplies are procured and arrive on time.
- Scheduling & Logistics: Work with the operations team to schedule transportation, gear, crew, and locations. Ensure everything is ready for the shoot and aligned with the timeline.
- Set Preparation & Management: Oversee the setup of the shoot, ensuring all elements (backdrops, props, changing tents, crafts tables, etc.) are arranged according to the plan. Manage set breakdown and equipment storage at the end of the shoot.
- On-Set Operations: Set up on-set facilities, such as craft services and changing tents. Ensure the set remains organized and efficient throughout the shoot.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols are in place and followed on set.
- Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with the Creative Producer to share updates, resolve issues, and ensure the shoot stays on track. Keep the team informed about any changes to schedules or logistics.
- Backup & Image Management: Ensure proper image backup and organization during and after the shoot.
- Deadline & Budget Management: Monitor timelines and budgets, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within financial constraints.
Qualifications:
- 3-4 years experience in production management or similar roles within creative industries (preferably photography, film, or commercial production).
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to develop creative concepts and translate them into practical execution.
- Experience with managing budgets, schedules, and logistics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards for location permits, releases, and production logistics.
- Interest in studio and photo shoot operations preferred
- Must be able to lift and move boxes, equipment and gear over 30 lbs*
