Job Description:We are seeking an individual with deep knowledge of marketing strategy and executional elements as well as familiarity with the gym and fitness industry to create, manage, and assess efficacy of marketing campaigns around our coach education courses. This position will individually lead projects and manage several priorities at once. This individual reports to the Director of Sport Development and Director of Sport Science & Coach Development and will regularly connect with the Director of Communications to identify and prioritize marketing and sales needs surrounding live, virtual, and hybrid coach certification and education courses. This individual will primarily create digital ads on Meta and Twitter/X that target those identified recipients and markets, adjusting activations as necessary. Additionally, they will track engagement and conversions of those ads, and use that data to inform future campaigns.
Additional work will include managing an email recipient list of coach education targets and creating emails encouraging them to participate in courses and utilize education tools. The ideal candidate will also create brand-standard visual aids to utilize in the promotion of material. USAW reserves the right to change or modify the contractor's job description whether orally or in writing, at any time during the contract period.For transparency, this is an independent role. You will not be overseeing a team.
As this is a remote role, the hired individual will have the luxury of setting a flexible schedule but will be held to strict deadlines and regular check-ins. Regular two-hour availability every Tuesday and Thursday (dedicated weekly time to collaborate) is required.
DETAILS:Compensation: $4,000 per month to be paid monthly in accordance with contract agreementTime commitment: 40 hours per weekTerm: Six months from date of agreement; available immediately. Opportunity for a permanent position after term expires.Location: Remote
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Campaign management: Build out a marketing and messaging plan around coach education courses.Position will manage a marketing calendar and create targeted digital ads to promote upcoming coach education courses via email, Meta and Twitter/X ads.Create compelling email content, including copywriting, design, and calls-to-action (CTAs), to maximize open rates, click-through rates (CTRs), and conversions.Create ad copy and visuals that resonate with target audiences and align with brand guidelines.Analyze and report key metrics, providing actionable insights/recommendations for campaign optimization.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in mass communications, marketing, or equivalent professional qualification/experience.Strong time management, project management, and organization skills; strong writing ability.Email marketing and paid social experience. Primary systems: Sport80/Campaign Manager (email), Meta ads, Twitter/X ads.Prior knowledge of analytics software and detailed conversation tracking.Ability to execute ad hoc marketing projects on request.Contribute to company social media presence through content, ideas, etc.Embrace change and be adaptable.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Design experience (InDesign, Photoshop, Canva).Familiarity with sports and sports marketing (Not exclusively weightlifting).Experience working with certification, education, and education programming.Experience with marketing automation workflows and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email template customization.Familiarity with Google Analytics and other relevant digital marketing and engagement tracking tools.Familiarity with search engine optimization (SEO) principles and content marketing strategies.
