Addison Group is hiring a Senior Writer on behalf of our client, a well-established financial services organization in Midtown Manhattan. This organization provides a range of benefits and insurance services and is dedicated to delivering high-quality content that supports its mission.
Job Description:
The Senior Writer will develop and produce promotional, informational, and transactional content for the client’s publishing and property & casualty insurance initiatives. This role requires strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, along with the ability to create compelling content across multiple communication channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage client-facing communications
- Develop content for newsletters, reports, press releases, email campaigns, and invitations
- Proofread and edit designed materials to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Assist in preparing presentations and conference materials for senior leadership
- Write factsheets, client testimonials, and collateral materials
- Craft communications for new product launches and service offerings
- Develop byline articles and thought leadership content for senior executives
Qualifications:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in corporate communications, content development, and editing
- Strong knowledge of grammar, syntax, and style guides (AP or Chicago Manual of Style preferred)
- Ability to simplify complex topics and craft engaging narratives
- Detail-oriented with a proven track record of accuracy
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
- Ability to quickly learn and articulate the client’s products and services
Additional Details:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Prior experience in publishing or property & casualty insurance is a plus
- Hybrid work environment: in-office Tuesday-Thursday, remote Monday and Friday
