This role is for the commercial brand, Seremoni and will support Shinkei but it primarily focused on Seremoni.
About The Role
We’re looking for a social-first storyteller who lives for food, culture, and creativity. As our Social Media Manager, you’ll lead strategy and execution across
Instagram and TikTok , building a bold, scroll-stopping presence that connects our brand with a community of food lovers, chefs, creators, and tastemakers.
You’ll have the autonomy (and a dedicated budget) to collaborate with culinary talent, shape our content direction, and move fast on trends. This isn’t just about posting—it’s about leading a conversation in the world of food.

Our HQ is in
El Segundo, California . We prefer candidates based in
California or New York , but we’re open to exceptional applicants from elsewhere in the U.S. If you're not local, you must be available for
monthly travel
to the El Segundo office for content shoots, planning sessions, and team collaboration.
What You’ll Do
Own and lead our social media strategy for Instagram and TikTok with a strong creative and strategic point of view. Collaborate with chefs, creators, tastemakers, and food personalities to produce standout content—from recipes to behind-the-scenes storytelling. Concept, brief, and manage content production with a strong eye for quality and alignment with brand voice and values. Stay tuned in to culture, platform trends, and real-time moments—then turn them into engaging, relevant content. Engage with our community daily: reply to comments and DMs, build relationships, and drive meaningful conversation. Analyze performance metrics, report on insights, and continuously refine the content approach to drive growth and engagement. Manage a dedicated content creation budget to support partnerships, production, and platform growth.
Who You Are
2-3+ years of hands-on experience managing social media for a brand, ideally in food, lifestyle, or hospitality. Deep expertise in Instagram and TikTok, with a strong grasp of what works natively on each platform. Passionate about food and food culture—you keep up with restaurant news, culinary trends, and emerging voices in the space. Confident collaborating with creative partners—from chefs and stylists to videographers and influencers. Proactive, self-directed, and organized with excellent attention to detail. A strong writer and visual thinker with a clear, editorial voice and point of view. Bonus points if you love fish—whether it’s ceviche, sushi, or a perfect tin of sardines.
Nice To Have
Light photo or video editing skills (in-app or with tools like CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Suite). Experience working with content planning and analytics tools (Later, Planoly, Sprout, etc.). Influencer or creator partnership experience.
