Overview
Audio/Video Adventures is a 4-day summer camp held at Greenwood Middle School that will occur June 16-19, 2025 for twelve rising 6th through 8th grade Wayne County Public School students. Students will be immersed in hands-on activities, engage in audio and video production, and produce a showcase learning project. Camp staff will consist of two teachers and will run alongside other middle school camps at the same location. Staff are responsible for working Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Camp begins each day for students at 8:30 am and ends at 2:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
- The teacher serves as the point of contact for program coordinators and families leading up to and during the camp. They assist with the selection of the curriculum and attain mastery over the different activities in order to support students during implementation of the curriculum. The teacher takes leadership in setting up, organizing, and preparing materials prior to camp. They facilitate all student learning experiences throughout the camp, ensuring a safe and productive environment is maintained.
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
- Current WCPS teacher, ITF, media coordinator, instructional coach, or administrator
- Prior experience with audio production and/or video production
- Able to lead others through tasks
- Able to work independently and without supervision
