Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to) Deliver high-quality instruction to a range of program students Integrate technology into teaching of course material Contribute to program development, curriculum design, and program assessment Collaborate with a variety of faculty, staff, and students using strong communication and organizational skills Demonstrate a strong foundation in pedagogy Use feedback as a developmental tool for growth around instructional effectiveness and collegiality Effective at teaching in multiple formats (face-to-face, hybrid, internet) Maintain positive relationships within the Liberal Arts programs and the various occupational programs at WCTC
Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Oral Communications, Public Speaking or a Master's degree in a related field with 18 graduate level credits in Oral Communication. At least one year of post-secondary teaching experience required as the lead instructor (not TA work). Post-secondary experience in designing, planning, and implementing alternative delivery formats (internet, accelerated, hybrid). Experience in CANVAS or similar learning management system. Teaching experience, work experience or experience developing curriculum in the area of international or diversity studies (desired). Online teaching experience required.
