Overview
As the Senior Advisor of Power Marketing (Renewables Power Origination), you will be responsible for originating new business in defined regions in the United States and Canada by developing new and existing customer relationships, communicating ENGIE's story and key attributes of potential product offerings, and proposing and structuring renewable energy transactions for the company's wind, solar, and energy storage development portfolio. This role is an ideal growth opportunity for an ambitious self-starter looking to build on existing experience in the energy industry and help fulfill the company's renewable energy aspirations and growth strategy within North America.
Secure long-term power sale agreements with utilities and corporations to support the financing and build-out of new renewable and/or energy storage projects.Manage and build relationships with existing and new customers in the chosen customer market segments.Evaluate requests for bids, lead bid strategy, and manage participation in procurement processes.Prepare proposals and presentation materials for customers and buyers.Seek opportunities and deal structures for bilateral transactions with customers.Negotiate terms and conditions of power sale agreements.Drive transactions toward closure.Coordinate and lead internal approvals throughout the bid process, including presenting to the renewables leadership committee.Collaborate with ENGIE's project development and delivery team.Ensure that project attributes important to customers are shared with the development team.Prepare template presentation and proposal materials to support the origination effort.Establish strategy, pricing, and structure of deals.Lead internal support teams through all aspects of the complex sales process.Remain abreast of renewable energy opportunities and national industry trends.Define and enable the strategy for your region.Represent ENGIE at national renewable energy events as a speaker, panelist, and energy leader.
What You'll BringBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Science, Engineering, or related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in the energy industry; preferably in renewable energy with at least three (3) years in power origination.A solid track record in a development or sales capacity in the clean energy sector.Demonstrated ability to lead, structure, negotiate, and execute power sale agreements.Knowledge of the electric utility industry and electric energy markets.Working knowledge of Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) operations and power generation technologies.Team-first mindset with a focus on collaboration.Strong sales, networking, leadership, negotiation, and time management skills.Ability to prepare marketing materials and presentations.Superior verbal and written communication skills.Results-oriented leader with the ability to work independently and in a team.
Additional DetailsThis role is eligible for our hybrid work policy.Must be available to travel domestically up to 35% of the time.Must comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.Ability to engage with stakeholders on evenings and weekends.
Compensation
Salary Range:
$128,400 - $196,765 USD annually.
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, education, and other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
