The Specialist, Medical Content and Education will help develop medical content and support broader medical education strategy for the company’s portfolio of existing and pipeline products. He/ she will support development of key content assets for field medical (field decks, infographics, medical triggered emails, etc.), as well as other external engagement opportunities (social media, etc.) in alignment with Medical Unit strategy. Additionally, he/she may support broader continuing medical education / independent medical education efforts as appropriate. This role will be held within the Medical Engagement (ME) group as part of the larger Medical Excellence Team within Global Medical Affairs (GMAF). He/she will support the Lead, Medical Content and Education, partner closely with regional and country colleagues, specifically from strategic markets, and interface with other colleagues across GMAF. This role will maintain a focus on key strategic markets and assets / indications in line with company priorities. Key areas of responsibility: Support development, localization and roll-out of key content assets such as field medical decks, infographics, congress assets, leave behinds, etc. for proactive and reactive use. Liaise with medical education vendors in the development process of educational assets. Ensure timely review and approval of medical materials review process, including incorporation of reviewer feedback / comments. Assist in reviewing grant submissions for medical specific continuing medical education / independent medical education. Collaborate with key business partners including global medical leads, medical engagement medical unit leads, scientific communications, learning and development, and others. Ensure excellence in all activities consistent with medical engagement standards. Assist other priority medical engagement initiatives as identified. Additional responsibilities may include: Working cross-functionally and collaboratively to communicate the strategic plans internally; educate and inform internal stakeholders; ensure alignment, coordination, and resourcing to execute the strategic plans with leadership and matrix teams appropriately. Collaboration with the Medical teams and additional cross-functional internal stakeholders to create and initiate innovative strategies, programs, and tactics in alignment with the company’s business objectives and specific therapeutic area strategic imperatives. Develop partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate cross-functionally across GMAF organization, regions/ countries, and enterprise partners. Maintain data-first mindset to evaluate impact of content use. Education: Qualifications (from An Accredited College Or University). PharmD, PhD, or MD preferred - Scientific Training or related field. 4+ years experience in a pharma / biotech preferred. Experience in content development in a pharma, biotech, or medical communications capacity. Experience in medical, legal, review submissions and process. Demonstrated expertise in working successfully with cross-functional teams to achieve results preferred. The hiring range for this position is $43 to $53 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
