Job Description
Job Summary:
Alarm Detection Systems, Inc. is seeking a marketing/advertising intern to join our dynamic in-house team. The ideal candidate will be eager to contribute to various stages of online marketing campaigns, gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time, temporary position expected to last 10-12 weeks with an estimated scheduled 20-30 hours per week.
This internship offers hands-on exposure to different facets of marketing, and by the end, the intern will have developed a well-rounded skill set in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating email campaigns, growing social media presence, and utilizing online search tools
- Support the distribution of general marketing materials
- Analyze marketing and sales data to assess campaign effectiveness
- Monitor and review competitor marketing and sales materials online
- Prepare presentations for internal and external use
- Conduct target market research and develop targeted marketing lists
- Assist with internal employee marketing initiatives
- Handle various on-site duties as assigned
- Maintain punctuality and adhere to attendance standards
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Perform additional tasks as directed by management
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- In the process of obtaining an Advertising, Marketing, or other related business degree is required
- Previous marketing experience is a plus
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in Desktop Publishing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with web platforms and social media
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Skilled in writing and content creation
- Experience with market research
- Data entry expertise
- Knowledge of Canva for design creation
- Basic video and photography skills
Licenses/Certifications:
- Must have the ability to obtain a PERC (Permanent Employee Registration Card) thru the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
- Must have a valid state drivers license, reliable transportation and satisfactory driving record.
