Job Details:
Job Title: Copy Editor
Location: 888 Brannan Street, San Francisco, CA 94103
Pay Rate: $48.28/hr. weekly pay on W2 plus benefits of (Medical, Vision and Dental)
Contract Length: 2+ Months
Responsibilities:
- Write, copy edit, and proof content for Experience & Services product pages, using a keen eye for story and a strong background in digital content creation
- Manage the seamless flow of product page copy from development to delivery in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Review, vet, and provide feedback on vendor-generated copy assignments, ensuring content meets the client standards
- Conduct regular quality control checks of human and AI generated content, to ensure adherence to creative brief standards and writing guidelines
- Copy edit and proofread copy for accuracy, clarity, grammar, inclusivity, logic, and consistency, ensuring text meets brand and style guidelines for brand voice, storytelling, and tone
- Generate captivating product page titles, distilling complex experiences into snappy headlines
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining precision and attention to detail
- Utilize large-volume, scaled content workflow using content management systems
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to promote teamwork and productivity
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an additional Host-facing support for the Market Management Team.
- Master and maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures inside and out, being an expert in Community Support and brand risk topics
- Provide end-to-end resolution and communication to Hosts while maintaining professionalism and clarity
- Conduct in-depth research to address and resolve Host issues
- Triage and assign escalations tickets and provide recommendations for efficient resolution
- Respond promptly and accurately to Host inquiries via email, maintaining a high level of service in a dynamic environment
- Work to proactively improve the listing quality of the hosts in your region as we drive to increase the percentage of 5-star bookings in your markets
- Support In-Market events for your territory, when required
- Effective communication in the context of stakeholders management
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding SLA response times
Requirements & Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in product copy editing, preferably in hospitality, travel, e-commerce, or a related industry
- Proven track record in a copyediting role, working in a fast-paced editorial environment
- Highly agile mindset; ability to stay organized and excel in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments
- Must have a firm grasp of the English language, grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation, and commonly used styles. Previous use of AP Style is preferred
- Excellent copyediting and proofreading abilities, paired with strong project management skills
- Experience working withing large-scale copy operations and workflows
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment under constant deadlines, copyediting and proofreading accurately and quickly
- Proficient in Google Suite applications. Salesforce and Airtable are a plus
- Positive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for hospitality and creating welcoming experiences for a global audience
