Hiring for a Security Flex Officer - unarmed

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer. The Security Professional Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients in various industries such as Healthcare, Education, Finance, and more. Use our shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on your availability, allowing you to build a flexible schedule while gaining site experience across different sectors. This position may require irregular shifts with little notice, suitable for those seeking supplemental income or a career start.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Monitor for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call police/fire department in emergencies
• Warn violators of infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden items
• Control access by monitoring entrances and exits
• Observe and prevent theft, ensuring authorized property removal
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and maintain logs
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously
• Make emergency notifications as per site orders

Qualifications (must have)

• High school diploma or 5 years of verifiable experience
• State/local licensing requirements
• Valid driver’s license if operating a vehicle
• Background check and drug screening as per law
• No prior experience required
• Minimum age 18 (21 if armed)
• Reliable, adaptable, and able to operate communication devices
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to assess situations quickly and mediate conflicts
• Teamwork and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience
