OVERVIEW
The Visual Lead is responsible for achieving store sales & maximizing profitability through Visual Merchandising in partnership with the Visual Manager. The Visual Lead will work closely with the Operations & Visual Manager in initiating, delegating work, and providing feedback to the team to achieve optimal results supporting total store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management.
- Maintain strategic product presentation and merchandising by ensuring product recovery, restock, destock, and visual merchandising changes in accordance with directives and in partnership with the Visual Manager.
- Plan visual floor changes with the management team, managing payroll and adapting zones and visual support to the business’s needs.
- Execute and maintain visual direction from planning through to execution, meeting company expectations, budgets, and timelines.
- Utilize reporting tools in partnership with management to identify business opportunities with product placement, outfitting, and stock levels, making necessary adjustments.
Business Leadership:
- Partner with Operations & Visual Manager to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
- Leverage metrics to support business strategies and demonstrate strong business acumen.
- Assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests dynamically on the retail floor.
People Leadership:
- Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience.
- Partner with management to coach, guide, and develop staff; responsible for recruitment and talent development.
- Use performance tools to evaluate associates and provide feedback for growth.
Business Partner:
- Collaborate with Operations Lead for cross-training and with Sales & Service Lead to ensure business execution.
- Implement company directives, projects, and initiatives in partnership with the Visual Manager.
- Open and close the store following visual standards.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a client-centric, sales environment.
- Proven leadership and decision-making skills.
- Receptive to feedback and eager to provide it.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to foster a fun work environment.
- Self-motivated with results-driven attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Aligned with Alo’s principles.
The Visual Lead is a full-time role requiring 32-40 hours per week, with variable shifts including weekends and peak days. All employees must be available during the holiday season, including Black Friday and the week of Thanksgiving.
