We’re growing our UX writing team and looking for an experienced UX writer/content designer to join us. Your primary responsibility will be working across teams to coordinate on content—creating and refining that content as needed to use it for training large language models (LLMs). You do not need previous experience working with LLMs or AI to apply for this role, but you will need a robust UX writing portfolio to demonstrate bar-raising content strategy skills.

We’re looking for a UX Writer who is an advocate for the customer—distilling complex problems into simple, savvy communications. You work tirelessly to understand how customers think and speak to identify language that is both useful and natural. You collaborate with designers, product managers, researchers, data scientists, and developers to craft solutions that are strategically sound.
Key job responsibilities
• Generate and evaluate content for large language models (LLMs)
• Evaluate and update existing documentation for the LLM
• Anticipate customer needs and write innovative and simplified solutions to issues
• Influence product strategy, driving mindful discussions with product managers, UX designers, engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders
• Set standards and drive adherence to UX writing best practices
• Track record for helping teams adopt UX writing guidelines and developing relevant metrics
Basic Qualifications
Have an available online portfolio
3+ years of experience as a UX writer, content designer, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
Experience in usability testing

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
