Prime Video is seeking a Graphics Technical Producer for our growing Global Live Sports Production team. This role will work with the Head of Creative Services to support the entire Live Sports Production team with live game and studio graphics projects. The position will focus on the technical and operational aspects of the Creative Services department including the coordination and management of real-time graphic systems, data integration and studio builds.
A successful candidate will have experience managing technical workflows and collaborating with both creative and technical personnel, in addition to having a strong knowledge for the most current graphics software and hardware used in game and studio broadcasts. This position will need to be a quick learner who can adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines and at times little oversight.
The desire and ability to learn and be curious while staying on the leading edge of graphic and broadcast technology will be of the utmost importance. Understanding the nuances and needs of each Prime property will be critical and overall sports knowledge is a must.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage implementation of Viz, Chyron and other real-time graphic systems
- Project management of all graphic elements and systems within the set build at Amazon Studios
- Plan and document data feed interfacing and integration involving various leagues and vendors
- Coordinate AR/XR implementation focusing on studio environments but also will support AR integration for live games as needed
- Support internal teams such as AWS with innovative broadcast approaches and advanced data integration
- Conduct testing of new software and updates before on-air deployment
- Facilitate team training for staff and freelance employees on graphic platform software and workflows
- Oversee licensing of graphics software for entire department
- Collaborate with Media Management for archiving of all animation and graphic elements
- Interface with Sales and Production teams on sales-related deliverables
- Master new graphic platforms as studio tools expand
- Partner with Technical Operations to enhance existing tools and workflows
- Ensure broadcast asset deliveries meet Prime Video Live Sports Guidelines
- Some travel is required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical program management or technical production experience with creative graphics and/or software engineering teams
- 5+ years experience implementing and using broadcast real-time graphic systems (Viz, Chyron, Ross, etc.)
- Experience leading technical aspects of live sports productions and studio graphics projects
- Experience and knowledge of digital graphic assets and file formats
- Experience executing sales deliverables for live games and shoulder programming
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing complex projects and engaging with multiple stakeholders (tech and non-tech)
- Experience implementing strategy and leading cross-functional team collaboration
- Experience with a new studio build out for live broadcast
- Experience managing AR/XR systems in live broadcast
- Background in advanced data integration
- Understanding of sports statistics in relation to broadcast graphics
