Key job responsibilities
• Drive end-to-end UX research initiatives—foundational, tactical, and strategic—utilizing a blend of qualitative and quantitative methods, including usability testing, user interviews, surveys, and advanced analytics to inform design decisions.
• Build strong partnerships with design, product, marketing, and engineering teams to identify user needs, advocate for user-centered solutions, and effectively translate key business questions into actionable research plans.
• Analyze data and synthesize findings to present actionable insights that strengthen value propositions, uncover growth opportunities, and significantly enhance user experience across various teams and product lines.
• Promote best practices in UX research while continuously exploring and integrating innovative methodologies to elevate team standards, drive meaningful outcomes, and foster a culture of user-centricity.
• Effectively prioritize and manage multiple research projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, balancing competing stakeholder needs while maintaining a clear focus on delivering high-impact research that influences product direction.
A day in the life
As a key member of the Amazon Payment Products Research team, you will closely collaborate with stakeholders throughout the research planning process. They will rely on your expertise to identify the most suitable research methods—be it qualitative or quantitative—tailored to address specific research questions, timelines, and resource constraints.
In partnership with our design teams, you will define requirements for new stimuli or prototypes essential for the research. Each day may involve a diverse range of activities, including conducting user interviews, analyzing qualitative data, overseeing vendor-supported projects, and synthesizing research findings into impactful reports for stakeholders.
