Throughout the Boston Celtics’ storied history, they have long stood for equality and respect, including drafting the first African American player, hiring the first African American coach, and playing the first all-black starting five. The Celtics have won a record 18 NBA Championships spanning five decades, including eight in a row from 1959-1966, and winning their most recent in 2024. In addition, forty-one former Celtics players, management, coaches, or staff have been inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. In December 2002 the team returned to local ownership for the first time since 1963.
Do you have a passion for design and want to bring our brand to life? As a Jr. Graphic Designer, you’ll contribute to a wide range of creative projects, supporting key initiatives across the organization, including the Maine Celtics, CLTX Gaming, Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation, and Jr. Celtics Academy. Come join us! This role will report to the Vice President of Creative & Content.
Responsibilities:
- Develop outbound creative for Maine Celtics, Jr. Celtics Academy, CLTX Gaming, and other organizational initiatives.
- Assist with execution of social series/templated graphics throughout the season and brainstorm new and outstanding ways to engage with fans.
- Support Maine Celtics and CLTX Gaming Partner Development and Activation team during corporate partner onboarding stage and partnership execution.
- Collaborate internally across multiple departments to solve for creative needs as they arise.
- Contribute to Boston Celtics creative as needed and assist with game night responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of meaningful work experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects.
- Knowledge of the sports industry and corporate partnership marketing is a plus.
- Ability to balance multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities, and make thoughtful decisions.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
- Strong communication, organizational, and presentational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and convey ideas clearly.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support organizational needs.
