With a focus on both producing and distributing compelling content, Garaj Pictures collaborates with ambitious filmmakers and industry professionals to bring distinct visions to the screen.
Role & Responsibilities:
- 6-8 weeks of contract work, will receive feature credit title on distributed motion picture with named actors.
- Develop and execute animation sequences based on the provided reference and creative direction.
- Collaborate with the director and post-production team to integrate animations seamlessly into the film.
- Work within a modest budget while maintaining high-quality results.
- Deliver assets in a timely manner, adhering to project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in horror or stylized animation.
- Ability to work independently while taking creative feedback.
- Prior experience in film animation is a plus but not required.
- Communication and collaboration skills.
- Motion capture and animation expertise.
- Storyboarding and motion graphics proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity.
- Experience in the film or animation industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Animation, Film, or related field.
Ideal Skills:
- Frame-by-frame (hand-drawn) animation experience.
- Strong understanding of timing and movement for fluid, atmospheric animation.
- Proficiency in one or more of: Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, TVPaint, Blender (Grease Pencil), or similar 2D animation software.
- Ability to work with cool, desaturated color schemes and soft lighting.
- Experience integrating animation into live-action footage.
