Responsibilities Provide the highest level of customer service to all clients in person, via phone and email. Perform all sales functions in Point of Sale. Prepare presentations for clients including product visuals, proper client pricing, shipping/freight charges and lead time. Provide home consult visits for clients when needed, to take photos of property and meet one on one to assess their wants and needs for their project. Familiarize yourself with all products available through our vendors including custom options. Be a furniture expert. Always know where to find answers. Catalogues, websites, colleagues or management. Use a tracking sheet to stay updated on your client orders. Stay in regular contact with clients alerting them of changes in lead time, delays, or issues with their order. Work with your manager to resolve and diffuse any issues in order to keep clients happy. Work with Support/Delivery team to schedule client deliveries. Promote all services provided by The Laurel Group divisions (Design Build, Maintenance, Sports Courts etc). Execute proper opening and closing procedures for the showroom. Assist with outdoor sign changes. Weekends during peak season Be aware of items missing tags and report to management and assist with tagging. Maintain general showroom housekeeping. Replenishing gift bags, tissue paper, Dusting, sweeping and assisting with merchandising when required. Participate in year-end Inventory. Assist with all product deliveries when needed including inspecting, tagging, counting, and reporting damage back to management and packing out goods. A working knowledge of indoor and outdoor plants on the property. Properly connect any plant clients with the appropriate plant experts when questions exceed your knowledge.
Qualifications 2-4 years’ experience with retail sales Design experience. Formal training not required. Conversant in PC skills, particularly Excel and Word. Photoshop or Illustrator and working knowledge of AutoCad a plus. Good communication skills. Self-motivated and can prove has worked as part of a dynamic team. Strong attention to detail and sound analytical skills an absolute must.
