Summary Visual Intelligence is a new feature, launched on the iPhone 16 with Apple Intelligence, that enables users to learn about the objects and places around them. We are a new and growing team building the future of user experiences at the intersection of computer vision and Apple intelligence. Description We are looking for a software engineering manager to lead a team building the next generation of features for Visual Intelligence, including user interfaces, APIs, and core software components. Our work is primarily in Swift / SwiftUI, so prior experience is highly preferred. If you are an outstanding software engineering manager with no Swift experience, we’d still love to hear from you!
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience writing software
- 1-5 years of professional experience managing software teams
- At least part of those years writing software for either macOS and iOS using Swift / SwiftUI
- Experience using XCODE and Apple's developer API's
- A background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related plus experience shipping software is ideal. Experience working with ML engineers, designers, and other cross-functional partners a plus. If that’s not your background, but you can show a strong track record of software development, curiosity, making, and learning, we’d love to talk to you.

Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
- Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
