As a Research Assistant, you’ll have the opportunity to support our research activities in developing innovative, user-friendly, best-of-breed products, using a variety of research methods (remote moderated and unmoderated studies, literature reviews, heuristic evaluations, surveys, and in person studies as needed Responsibilities: Design and conduct research independently using a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including but not limited to: interviews, surveys, diary studies, usability studies, heuristic evaluations, literature reviews, etc. Collaborate cross-functionally (design, engineering, and product management) and cross-team to ensure teams make user-centric, data-driven decisions Independently prioritize work while managing stakeholder relationships and expectations across a range of work streams on a range of trajectories and velocities. Contribute to a collaborative and respectful environment where every team member feels supported and comfortable being their authentic self. Assist other user researchers with various user research preparation activities Author high quality research plans and moderate guides. Execute research after seeking feedback on the research approach and incorporating feedback from research lead/manager as appropriate. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data and author insightful and succinct research reports that are easily digestible. Socialize and advocate for research findings and insights to diverse audiences through crisp verbal presentations. Experience: A completed college degree with relevant coursework in Human Factors, HCI, Psychology, Computer Science, Social Sciences, or other fields focusing on human behavior. At least 2-3 years of product research experience or experience in an applied research setting. Experience with all stages of usability testing, interviews, surveys, and literature reviews: from scoping work to communicating the results. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proven record of excellent teamwork skills. Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills. Detail-oriented and ability to work with minimal supervision. Can distill actionable insights from qualitative data so that non-researchers can act on them. Knowledge of experimental design and statistical analysis Technical aptitude, familiarity with basic graphic and video editing tools. The target hiring compensation range for this role is $54.93 to $61.04 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
