Our client is building a world-class game development team to bring incredible games to life for our customers and showcase our technologies at their best! We are looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to help us in the production phase of an MVP mobile app designed for gamers, with a strong focus on social engagement, improved game discoverability, and transparent developer insights. This standalone app will launch with a curated game library and prioritize a data-driven, iterative design approach. This role will be central in defining the look and feel of the app, from user flows to polished UI components, ensuring seamless navigation and engagement. You will collaborate with product managers, developers, and game industry experts to bring this vision to life. This is a three-month contract role, targeting project completion by the end of June.
This remote role requires collaboration, with preferred overlap with the APAC development team (GMT+8) and flexibility for West Coast client meetings (GMT-8). Candidates in other time zones are welcome if they can ensure some team overlap and attend client meetings, typically from 4-6 PM GMT-8. We're committed to maintaining a diverse team, and we welcome and encourage applicants with diverse experiences and backgrounds.
What you'll be doing: Own the UX/UI design process, from wireframing to final visuals, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience. Develop interactive prototypes to test navigation, layout, and usability. Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and client teams to align the interface with user needs and business goals. Design intuitive UI components that enhance game discovery, social interactions, and developer insights. Incorporate data-driven insights to iterate and refine the user experience. Ensure brand consistency while maintaining flexibility for future feature expansion. What we're looking for:
Proven experience in UX/UI design for mobile applications, preferably in gaming or digital marketplaces. Strong proficiency with industry-standard design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar). Understanding of game ecosystems and player behavior to create engaging social experiences. Experience in prototyping and testing UX concepts before implementation. Ability to collaborate in an agile, fast-moving environment with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and gather feedback effectively. You might also have:
Experience designing game-related products, digital storefronts, or community-driven platforms. Familiarity with Unity-based projects and game UI best practices. Experience working with data-driven design iterations using analytics tools. Knowledge of authentication and social integrations within mobile ecosystems.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $41 to $51 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
