Our Lady of Sorrows in Sharon, Massachusetts, a vibrant community of 900+ families, is seeking a part-time Director of Music and Organist. Responsibilities include planning music for and accompanying three weekend masses, Holy Days, and Christmas/Holy Week. Funerals and weddings provide supplemental income. Additional responsibilities include rehearsing cantors, directing a 20+ voice Adult Choir, Children’s Choir, Funeral Choir, and monthly teen choir. The church has a well-maintained Estey organ and a Vose & Sons grand piano available in the sanctuary. Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of Catholic liturgy, good interpersonal skills, and a degree in music. Salary is commensurate with education and experience and includes a full complement of benefits.
