The Professional Development Program (PDP) of the University at Albany's Rockefeller College is seeking a service-minded individual committed to high-quality work for the position of Education Specialist/Videographer and Editor in PDP's Department of Media Production, located in Albany, NY.
Description of Duties:
The Education Specialist (videographer/editor) provides media production services, assists with live broadcasts, long-form videos, audio recordings, and develops web-based media assets. Responsibilities include:
- Develop storyboards and timelines for video and web projects; work on scene blocking, lighting, and composition on location or in-studio; support staff roles such as Video Director, Technical Director, Camera Operator, Audio Operator, Producer, Character Generator Operator, and Teleprompter Operator.
- Capture video and still images using various camera systems.
- Edit videos with Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer, or similar software; design graphics with Photoshop, After Effects, or similar applications.
- Manage media library and metadata; research new ideas and technologies; provide media support services including duplication, captioning, and quality control; represent PDP at professional conferences and meetings.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2-4 years of hands-on video production experience.
- Experience in electronic field production and graphic effects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work variable hours and travel within NYS.

Additional Information:
Salary Range: $60,000 - $64,500 annually
