a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Graphic and Multimedia Design Artist to support KPS and our government customer.
This is Remote opportunity. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

The Graphic and Multi-Media Artist will provide communications support across the spectrum of operations, including, but not limited to, the development, execution, and optimization of a comprehensive digital and social media strategy inclusive of graphics (print and digital), video, and coordinating written content collateral across digital channels and traditional media through, PowerPoint presentations, graphical and information-driven visuals, infographics, website content, newsletters, and social media products.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:Creates designs for clients that visually communicate desired project messages.Designs will primarily be for briefings, newsletters, trifolds, fact sheets, and branding but may also be used in various visual media, including websites, social media posts, and videos.Creates various infographics, layouts, iconography, package designs, website designs, logos, and illustrations according to client specifications.Meets with clients and other communication and organizational change project team members to discuss requirements and the design of the project.Creates rough drafts and sketches of concepts and presents them to the client for further discussion and revision.Participates in collaborative revision and approval process until final design is approved.Create and curate content for various communication channels, such as press releases, articles, blog posts, social media updates, and videos.Apply Section 508 accessibility guidelines and standards to ensure multimedia assets are compliant and accessible to individuals with disabilities.Performs other related duties as assigned.Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor's degree required, major or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines highly preferred.Five to seven years of related experience preferred.Experience with Adobe Creative SuiteExperience creating and editing short video clips using programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Apple Final Cut Pro is a plus.Experience planning a project based on interactions with the client and in accordance with the client's requirements.Experience creating and aligning with brand and production standards that follow best practices.Knowledge of and experience with color, composition, typography, digital design, and production management.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Strong time management and planning skillsGeneral knowledge of military or government organizations.Ability to obtain a valid U.S. Government Public Trust security clearance.Desired Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge of electronic, print, and graphics media.Superior artistic and design skills.Extremely proficient in image editing and digital animation and illustration software such as Adobe Creative Suite.Experience creating Animation using programs such as Adobe Animate or After Effects is a plus.Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-centric environment.A deep-rooted passion for customer service and empathy for the customer.Must be a self-starter who recognizes needs and acts without guidance.
Working Environment & ConditionsThis job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
