Community Manager Role
The Community Manager oversees the operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. Responsibilities include personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration, and risk management. As an onsite leader, you will supervise all aspects of the property and staff to ensure compliance with policies, safety, fair housing, and liability standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Personnel Management: Manage staff through screening, hiring, training, coaching, and development. Ensure staff effectiveness and compliance with company policies.
- Financial Management: Achieve net operating income goals, develop budgets, monitor deposits, rent collections, and vendor invoices, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Strategic Leasing Management: Develop marketing plans, ensure effective leasing techniques, handle resident complaints, and implement retention programs.
- Administrative & Maintenance Management: Ensure timely reporting, manage emergencies, monitor service requests, maintain property appearance, and oversee repairs and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s preferred, or 1-2 years related experience.
- CAM or ARM certification preferred.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively, work overtime, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs., working in various environments, and operating machinery.
License/Equipment
- Reliable transportation required due to on-call responsibilities.
Additional Information
Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 per year. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, bonuses, paid sick days, and holidays. The job description is not exhaustive and may be modified as needed.
