Create high-quality posters, flyers, and social media graphics in support of performances.Work with the Marketing Manager and various faculty/ensemble directors to create materials that are specific to the programs.Adhere to deadlines for creating these graphics, providing them to the Marketing Manager in a timely manner.Post flyers around campus as time permits.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Experience in creating high-quality, event-specific graphics and print materials (posters/flyers).Familiarity with the University of Denver, and specifically the Lamont School of Music.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.Required Qualifications
Current DU undergraduate or graduate student enrolled for the 2024-2025 academic year.You must be in good standing to be eligible for the position. By submitting the application, you consent to Student Conduct sharing your University standing with us.Preferred Qualifications
Current Lamont music majors or minors will be given preference.Knowledge of graphic design software (Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, etc.), or willingness to learn it.This is a remote position; the Marketing Assistant will work on their own computer from the location that suits them best.The Marketing Assistant will have regular check-ins with the Manager of Marketing & Communications. As mutually agreed upon, these meetings can either be virtual or in-person, at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts.Physical Activities
The Marketing Assistant will occasionally be asked to post flyers around campus, pending availability.Work Schedule
This is a 100% remote position, and the work may be completed at a time that works best for the Marketing Assistant provided they are meeting all deadlines.The Assistant will have regular check-ins with the Manager of Marketing and Communications.Compensation
$20 per hour, estimated 5-10 hours per week.This position prioritizes students eligible for federal work-study, which requires eligibility through the Financial Aid Office.In compliance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), non-benefited employees accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.Equal Employment Opportunity Statement & Notice of Background Check
