The Assistant Controller supports the Controller by managing key functions of the accounting department, including accounts payable, month-end close processes, productivity reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial audits. This role involves resolving discrepancies in financial records and overseeing special projects. Location: Littleton, Colorado (On-Site) Responsibilities: The Assistant Controller assists the Controller with accounts payable, month-end close, reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations. Provide support for audits and manage special projects as needed. The Assistant Controller oversees accounting operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance. Lead and optimize accounting processes for continuous improvement as the Assistant Controller . Collaborate with the Controller on financial reporting and analysis as the Assistant Controller . Drive improvements in accounting practices and internal controls under the direction of the Assistant Controller . The Assistant Controller manages multiple tasks independently with strong attention to detail. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a senior role. At least 2 years of supervisory experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems. Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and GASB standards. Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills as an Assistant Controller . Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
